Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast
Each year, on the federal holiday celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Y hosts a community Prayer Breakfast. More than 500 people from throughout central Iowa come together to listen, learn and commit to furthering the causes of racial, social and economic justice for which Dr. King fought, and ultimately gave his life. As part of the celebration, the Y presents the Make A Difference awards to individuals in our community who lead and inspire others in the important work of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Join us on Monday, January 15th for our 11th Annual Prayer Breakfast: Building Health in Spirit, Mind and Body: Addressing Barriers to Mental Health Equity.
