Dear YMCA Members,
Through your membership in the YMCA, you are part of a nonprofit organization dedicated to building better health in spirit, mind and body for your fellow citizens of all ages and all walks of life. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for believing in the mission of the Y.
Each year at this time, YMCA board and staff members conduct a thorough review of our finances in order to develop an operating budget for the coming year, which begins September 1. One of the issues we continue to battle is inflation. To keep pace with rising expenses, attract and retain the best staff and continue to reinvest in our facilities and programs, we find it necessary to implement a small increase in membership rates for 2024-25. Please see the chart below for a comparison of current rates and the new rates that go into effect September 1.
At the Y, we strive to make membership accessible and affordable for everyone in our community, regardless of income or financial circumstances. If you would like to visit with someone in confidence regarding your financial situation, check our website or ask the Welcome Center for more information on the financial assistance options available to members. If you currently receive financial assistance from the Y for membership, your percentage award will remain the same, and will be applied to the new rate. Email help@dmymca.org if you have questions or would like assistance in determining your new payment amount.
